RG 35, San Francisco, CA

My publicist should be writing this for me, but she's out buying handbags right now. I really think the only thing that anyone should know about me is that I CARE. I care about my family, my friends and about the things I write about. And I obviously should, right? A sportswriter should loves sports, etc, and not be a literary historian stuck in a rut and making ends ...by writing on a sports site.

I also think I look weird in all my pictures, unless I'm wearing a tie. Perhaps I'm in the wrong profession, but be kind to my "non tie wearing" pics please. I am a die hard fan of so many things, and yes, I've cried because my team lost. The last time was 2000, but you'd understand if I told you what game that was. I really enjoy not driving in the city, it brings me joy.

Oh yeah, I'm a Scorpio, feel free to read into that as you wish ;-)

I work for eBay Inc.

Keith Urban, the green tour!? March 9 2008 at 1:00 PM

Keith Urban launched what seems to be the "50th" leg of his Love, Pain & The Whole Crazy Carnival Ride tour almost a month ago. He's won his Grammys, he has a beautiful wife, and he's tackled on some personal problems that almost derailed him. One thing that most people don't talk about is that Keith... More

Gwen, ever the IT girl does it again.... March 3 2008 at 8:02 PM

I've always found Gwen Stefani interesting. You may think that she took the same path traveled as other front women and found success (Stevie Nicks to name THE ONE), but not so much. First off, No Doubt was really not like other bands because she WAS a front woman of a ska/hip/rock hybrid MEGA successful... More

Posted 9 months ago to What's "good!?

I strongly feel that many of us lose sight of what's in front of our eyes when we think about being socially "good". Yes, I'm supportive of national campaigns (one, project red), but my impact on someone, something, could very well be done in person, with a friend, a colleague or local nonprofit. The... More

Though I can't say that I remember when he was booted off, I think it shows a lot of class to use his status/influence to do something good. I know there are people who totally throw "hate" at that type of stuff, but you know....if you can influence someone to do something good, why not? Kinda like the... More

Posted 9 months ago to It all started with a bag...

I need a MAN bag like that, but I totally agree that retailers need to THINK about how to engage people with items/products that they'll use everyday. We all have to go shopping (well those who have maids don't), and we all have probably used/thrown away 3000+ bags in our lifetime, why not gives us 1... More

Posted 9 months ago to March Madness (or Even Do-Gooders Get Distracted)

I second that, GO HOYAS! I also say I am proud of myself, I was 50% more productive this year than last year, probably because my team lost in the 1st round :(

Hamano Sushi, San Francisco (415) 826-0825 March 18 2008 at 6:52 PM

One of my favorite sushi shops in Noe Valley. The stop is very friendly, almost to the point where you feel that they're hiding something. KIDDING! Awesome staff and fresh food. And all this talk about them has compelled me to place an order. More
